Even some of the most experienced sewers will make a draft/test copy of a new pattern to make sure that all adjustments are made before the final product.
This is a time when I should have done a test sample first. I was very confident that with a couple of minor adjustments to my t-shirt pattern that I could make myself a lovely cardigan.
It was close.
Unfortunately, I did not adjust the sleeve pattern to provide extra room for the biceps and I should have increased the width a half inch more across the back.

Well, my mother is benefiting from my "failure". She is smaller than I and the sweater fits her properly.
