Top

I am tired of wearing the same old thing - jeans and a t-shirt to family gatherings. Although comfortable, it's pretty predictable. I am trying to turn over a new leaf and put some effort into what I wear or at least look like I did.

Trying!

My goal is also to fill my closet with garment pieces that fit; pieces that I hope are flattering.

In my fabric stash, I had this beautiful, fun fabric that I had purchased in September. I also have a knit top pattern that fits me the way I want.

In an afternoon, I was able to cut and sew the top.

I think this top would pair nicely with a pair of grey pants or a pencil skirt and maybe a grey cardigan to tone down the busy pattern for possible work meetings.
